Vue sur les toits

Montpellier’s most beautiful, most romantic and oldest square is the Place de la Canourgue.
It was on this site that the cathedral was to be rebuilt, but the idea was never pursued.

In the shade of the hackberry trees, terraces and benches await you for a pleasant break in the heart of Montpellier. The square is surrounded by 17th-century mansions: Hôtel Richer de Belleval, Hôtel de Cambacérès and Hôtel du Sarret.

The Fontaine des Licornes (Unicorns Fountain) stands at the far end of the straight garden, with a breathtaking view of Saint-Pierre Cathedral.
